چکیده
Naturally fractured gas reservoirs have contributed significantly to global reserves and production. The classical gas-well decline analysis relies largely on Arps’ empirical models, or modern production associating with pseudo-variables. explicit original in place determination methodology is extended from homogeneous reservoir naturally under constant variable bottom-hole pressure conditions rate analysis. Then, the relationship between flow average pseudo-pressure boundary-dominated period re-derived. This formula same format equation for by due introduction of a new productivity index parameter that captures inter-porosity fracture matrix natural reservoir. proposed step-by-step procedures are applied here, which enable estimation exponent straightforward without any iterative calculations. Four simulated cases prove our can be successfully used heterogeneous irregular boundary conditions. Document Type: Original article Cited as: Wang, Y., J., Zhao, W., Ji, P., Cheng, S., Yu, H. Rate Decline Analysis of Vertically Fractured Wells in Shale Gas Reservoirs
Based on the porous flow theory, an extension of the pseudo-functions approach for the solution of non-linear partial differential equations considering adsorption-desorption effects was used to investigate the transient flow behavior of fractured wells in shale gas reservoirs. The pseudo-time factor was employed to effectively linearize the partial differential equations of the unsteady flow r...
متن کاملApplication of Decline Analysis in Fractured Reservoirs, Field Case Studies
Decline curve analysis has some advantages over transient well test analysis in which it is not required to shut-in the well and also wellbore storage effects do not exist. Few studies have been done on decline curve analysis of naturally fractured reservoirs but there are even some limitations with available models. On the other hand well test could be expensive and in some operational conditi...
متن کاملInvestigation of Underground Gas Storage in a Partially Depleted Naturally Fractured Gas Reservoir
In this work, studies of underground gas storage (UGS) were performed on a partially depleted, naturally fractured gas reservoir through compositional simulation. Reservoir dynamic model was calibrated by history matching of about 20 years of researvoir production. Effects of fracture parameters, i.e. fracture shape factor, fracture permeability and porosity were studied. Results show...
متن کاملDetermination of Original Gas Condensate Composition in The Case of Gas Coning
Obtaining samples that represent original fluid of reservoirs optimizes reservoirs management. The optimized management increases recovery. Also, selecting and performing proper Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) or Enhance Oil Recovery (EOR) programs depend on collecting representative samples. Achieving accurate compositions of original in-situ fluid prevents overdesigning surface facilities. Re...
متن کاملSPE 139250 Analysis of Mechanisms of Flow in Fractured Tight-Gas and Shale-Gas Reservoirs
In this paper we analyze by means of numerical simulation the mechanisms and processes of flow in two types of fractured tight gas reservoirs: shale and tight-sand systems. The numerical model includes Darcy’s law as the basic equation of multiphase flow and accurately describes the thermophysical properties of the reservoir fluids, but also incorporates other options that cover the spectrum of...
